January RecapLast month was the best January Dan Pomykalski Photography has ever had. Not only did I have more revenue than I've ever had in January, but I also had a pretty good amount of sessions. Things are typically pretty dead for me until around April, and I'm lucky to have even a handful of sessions during the first part of the year. Normally I use this time as a break, prepare for the upcoming year, and try to sign contracts for things like weddings. I can say with 100% certainty that I'd rather be shooting than what I'm usually doing at the beginning of the year, so last January was definitely a welcomed change.
So far, February looks like it's going to be a really good month as well, and I'm hoping this trend of being-busy-when-I'm-usually-not continues.
On an unrelated note, I've been sick the past couple of days and today is the worst I've felt so far. I was going to make this post longer, but it was very obvious work was going to be a struggle as soon as I sat at the computer. I was going to take the day off today to rest, but for whatever reason, I can never bring myself to not work during the week. I'm sure I'll be feeling better for next week's post!
